SOLAMI Meeting 2025, September 20, Panama

1. General Overview

ISIM’s participation in the Latin American Congress of Internal Medicine SOLAMI 2025 in Panama was a great success. Activities included an academic presentation, productive meetings, and exchanges in regard to future collaborations.

2. Academic Participation: Keynote Lecture

As an invited speaker, ISIM delivered the lecture "Frailty, sarcopenia, and their relationship with vitamin D." The session was part of one of the most highly attended blocks of the congress, receiving excellent reception and strong interest among attendees.

3. Strategic Meetings and Collaborations

Productive meetings were held with the presidents and representatives of the national internal medicine societies of Ecuador, Mexico, Bolivia, Cuba, Chile, Argentina, and Uruguay. The main objective was to explore opportunities for future academic collaborations, including joint research, webinars, and speaker exchange programs. All parties expressed strong interest in strengthening their ties with ISIM.

Additionally, as a gesture of goodwill and in recognition of the outstanding quality of the event, ISIM sent a formal letter of congratulations to the SOLAMI 2025 Organizing Committee, commending them for the congress’s success.

4. Conclusion

In summary, the congress was a highly successful event for strengthening ISIM’s relationships across Latin America. The academic visibility, combined with the strategic progress achieved in the meetings, reinforced ISIM’s position as a vital partner in the region.
