12^th Russian Federation Internal Medicine Congress, 22nd -24th November 2017

It was with great anticipation that I arrived in the capital of the Russian federation to attend the 12^th annual meeting of the Russian Scientific Medical Society of Internal Medicine. The Crocus conference facility is particularly impressive as it is a massive complex, with modern amenities and with multiple lecture halls, eateries and exhibition space. 

Annual Academic sessions - Sri Lankan Society of Internal Medicine (SLSIM) - 2017

Sri Lankan Society of Internal Medicine had its highly successful Inaugural Annual Academic Sessions from 30th October to 2nd November.
Inauguration ceremony was successfully held at Hotel Grand Kandyan, Kandy on 31st October 2017 with a participation of 300 invitees at Hotel Grand Kandyan, Kandy, Sri Lanka.

17th International Congress & Scientific Seminar, Dhaka, Bangladesh

The 17^th International Congress & Scientific Seminar was held from December 16-18, 2016, in Dhaka, at the Radisson Blue Water Garden Hotel and Congress Center. The congress activities started on December 16, at the national “Victory Day”, celebrating the end of an armed conflict known as the Bangladesh Liberation War. The conflict gave birth to Bangladesh in 1971. It is also a day to honor all of those who died in the war.

2^nd Prague European Days of Internal Medicine, December 2016

Please allow me to cordially welcome you to Prague on behalf of the Organizing Committee of the Prague European Days of Internal Med­i­cine (PEDIM) Conference. Two years ago we organized the first PEDIM. Because the conference was appreciated by many participants and evaluated as quite suc­cess­ful, we decided to prepare the new one. This year we will focus on metabolic and cardio­vascular diseases. However, we do not want to overlook any real big news from internal med­i­cine. Therefore we are pre­paring the new sessions “top stories” or news from intensive care.

XXII Colombian Congress of Internal Medicine, Cartagena de Indias, Colombia

The XXII Congress of the Colombian Association of Internal Medicine (ACMI) took place at the Cartagena de Indias Convention Center from October 11th to 14th, 2012. President of the Congress was Dr. Virgil Carballo Zárate, organised by the Colombian Association of Internal Medicine President Dr. Juan Manuel Senior.

Congress in Krasnoyarsk (Sibiria) and Stavropol (Caucasus), Russia

In March 2011, the Russian Scientific Medical Society of Internal Medicine organized two congresses under the endorsement of ISIM. The first one took part in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia, and the second one in Stavropol, which is located in the Northern Caucasus region.

Business Meeting ISIM and organizers WCIM 2012, Chile

In December 2010 a business meeting between officials of the Chilean Society of Internal Medicine (represented by Dr. Hector Ugalde, Dr. Felix Muoz, and Joan Murdoch) the International Society of Internal Medicine (represented by Dr Hans P Kohler, and Dr. William Hall), representatives of Kenes Latin America and Espacio Riesco, took place in Santiago de Chile.

National Congress in Novosibirsk, Siberia

In November 2010, the Russian Society of Internal Medicine organized the annual meeting of its Sibirien Chapter in Novosibirsk, which is located in Western Siberia. ISIM has sent three delagates: Prof. Rolf Streuli, Honoray President of ISIM; Prof. Hans-Peter Kohler, Secretary Gneneral ISIM; and Prof. Bart Keymeulen from Belgium.

Meeting between the Chinese Society of Internal Medicine (CSIM) and ISIM, Beijing

In October 2010, the Secretary General, Hans-Peter Kohler and the President of ISIM, Prof. William Hall, have met officials from the Chinese Society of Internal Medicine (CSIM) and the Chinese Medical Association (CMA) in Beijing, China. Both ISIM officers also gave invited lectures at Beijing Union Medical Hospital.
